Have you ever heard the saying, “He has a good heart?” And if someone does something he shouldn’t have and it will be said, “But, he has a good heart.”  Does he really?  I guess I just have to believe that the condition of my heart has a real impact on my actions.

What are we talking about when we talk about our heart?  It’s obvious we aren’t talking about a muscle that pumps blood.  My thought is that my heart is different than my brain because my brain might cause me to do something that is logical even if it might not be the right thing to do.  My heart, on the other hand might cause me to do something that wouldn’t be considered logical by most, but it might be the compassionate thing; the kind thing; the right thing to do.  Someone recently told me, “Heart doesn’t make you special but lack of it will eliminate the opportunity to be special.”
