Over the last week, I’ve been working on a video with my creative team. I guess it was more than just a video. It was an honor and privilege to develop the video around an original song written by our worship pastor Greg Erway and his son Ethan.

With lyrics like: “Hearts were held captive; Help far away; Sinners, one and the same. Searching for freedom; Desperate for life; Broken and bound we came;” we wanted visually capture the essence of America and Christianity. So over four days we shot 8 plus hours and almost 100GB of video to produce this video…

I was looking for a little inspiration this morning and ran across this video. Dougal Wilson’s latest spot (Produced by Blink with VFX from MPC) really spoke to me and made me think about my daughter and life. To many times we focus on the end result and miss the little things and then before you know it we’re there at the end. Think we need to cherish the little moments, but know we can influence in them. Now I need to find a tissue.

Last night, I painted the last painting for the series Organic Christianity. The series was about stripping everything away, getting down and dirty with scripture, but most importantly focusing on how we can be the hands and feet of Jesus. We had TOM’S helping us out with our own brand of shoe and tons of other cool stuff. But what I’ve been most excited about is getting to painting during worship throughout the entire series you can check week 1, week 2, week 3, and week 4 paintings out by clicking the links. Just ran across this video and thought it would be cool for you to see. It’s about a boy who uses his imagination to connect with a girl on a New York City subway. Cool! This was special project commissioned by Steven Spielberg. Shot on RED. Animations and compositing completed in Adobe After Effects. Conceived and completed in 10 days.

Last night, I painted the third painting for the series Organic Christianity.  The message for the third week is PURE. I was inspired by the beauty around us each and everyday.  It may seem messy, chaotic, mismatched or ugly, but when God looks at it all he see’s the beauty in the ordinary.  He has the right filter or lens to see his creation and the purity he bestowed to each of us.  You can check the last two paintings out week 1 and week 2

I cannot take the credit for finding this my friend Blaine Hogan did all the work.   I was blown away and think I watched it twelve times in the airport and wanted to share it with you.
