Coaching
We all love a good story, whether it be one of the classics, a myth, a fairy tale or a simple fish tale told by a friend. See, our culture relates in story; it’s the shortest distance between two people. The power of a single story has the ability to make a memorable point, add meaning to one’s life, create and reveal emotion, and build connections. Yet the art of storytelling is the most under utilized and unappreciated tool in an organization today.
The Storytelling Coaching Community is a gathering of no more than ten* (10) creative professionals or creative ministry leaders who will meet for six months to elevate their photography and video as a storytelling medium, be encouraged, challenged, and coached on visual storytelling and their specific leadership challenges.
This community consists of five primary elements:
- Weekly Personalized Lesson
- Weekly Personal Coaching Call
- Exclusive Video Chats With Special Guests
- Critique Of On-Going Work
- Personalized Advice On Upcoming Projects
Stories are told to bear witness to compassion, to the undying hope which persists in the face of suffering, and to the universal beauty of humanity which is created in the image of a loving God. Meaningful stories need to be told, and told well. The Storytelling Coaching Community is designed to help you become better storytellers, to learn how to get to the heart of a story and to connect with your audience to bring about change.
The cost of the program is $200 a month. The current application deadline is: Friday, August 19th, 2011 and the coaching community begins: Friday, August 26th, 2011. Note: All scholarships have been filled for this current program.
