12 Jun 2009I received several emails and tweets this week from several of you reporting that you’ve noticed a change in in your colleagues and friends this week. Isn’t it amazing how much people can change? Or . . . . . . . maybe we have changed. I’m reminded of the statement by Dr. Wayne Dyer, “If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.” Wouldn’t it be equally true to say, “If you change the way you look at people, the people you look at change?” I think so.
Starting on Monday of this week, many of you decided to make a commitment to avoid making negative statements. Although this is the last day of work week for many, it certainly isn’t the last day of the week. I would encourage you to carry this over into the weekend. I believe this kind of thinking and behaving will have a positive impact on how we see our family members, our friends, and maybe even strangers we meet at the grocery store. Who knows? It might even change the way we see ourselves.
